Buckle up to learn a little more about Catie in her own words.
What is your favorite kind of client work?
Anything tedious – data entry and quality assurance, organizing complex data and processes into new flows, checking text and numbers for errors
Anything graphic-based – social media graphics, presentations, graphic elements for the web
What does the perfect day off look like to you?
Grabbing bagels for breakfast, going for a bike ride, relaxing and reading books all day and making a yummy dinner!
How did you get interested in VA work?
I’ve always been more into work that’s project to project rather than the same thing every day. I would rather finish a task 100% than have to do maintenance work on something day to day. VA work let’s me choose to do my work the way that I like to.
What is your go-to morning beverage?
Pretty much year-round, I start the day with my Stanley full of water and a big hot coffee with creamer.
What professional skills would you like to master?
I’m actually in the process of beginning a paralegal program at the community college – something way different for me. I’ve always been interested in a research type job and this just seems like such a fun next step for FLVA that I honestly can’t wait to see what happens.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Fries. Specifically, fries from Lion’s Choice, but literally any fries will do. Plain, with dip, from the oven…I can’t help myself.
If you could choose any celebrity to be your best friend, who would it be?
Mariska Hargitay, 100%. If Olivia Benson wanted to be my friend, I would probably die.
Be a shapeshifter or have the ability to read minds?
Read minds, for sure. I like me and I like being me, so I can’t really think of anyone or anything else I would like to be. But, I think it would be convenient to be able to know what people were thinking.
Favorite place you’ve been?
I love any mountain town we’ve been to that has river access. Flagstaff, Salida, Buena Vista, Provo, Bozeman…I learned while traveling that floating and hanging out by the river is one of my favorite things to do in the summer.
What is something about you that would surprise your 13 year old self?
You don’t have or WANT a dog. I thought that I would own a huge property with a big house on it and I would just live there with 100+ dogs. Now, there are only 2 instances in my life in which I would have a dog. 1. A cute little puppy wanders out of the woods and chooses me. 2. Christie and I are retired old ladies and get a golden weiner dog and name her Frankie.
